Auditions are submitted as online video recordings via the website yaptracker.com. Please note that recorded videos must be uploaded as a part of the application process; a live audition may also be available by request.

Repertoire for auditions: you need to offer at least three numbers, all videoed, and if you have videos of you performing something on stage that is good too though not essential. At least one of the numbers should be in French. While it is not required, performing something from the piece you are interested in always helps, particularly if you are interested in a lead role.

A modest Application Fee of $30 is payable on submission of audition materials, also via the website yaptracker.com.

The process varies somewhat for singers and other categories of participant. Singers must audition online or in person, while Coach/Accompanists, Directors, Stage Managers and Arts Administrators will be contacted directly to set up audition/interview times.

All applications, regardless of category or country of origin, must be submitted online at yaptracker.com and incur an application fee of $30.

Please review the specific application/audition details for each participant type:

Singers

Each singer should offer three contrasting arias, one of which must be in French. Singers are strongly recommended to offer appropriate arias from the opera in which they wish to be considered for solo roles.

Singers are encouraged to act out and perform as fully as possible all of their choices, both recorded and live: please feel free to move about the room, not stay rooted to the piano, and convince us of your acting ability as much as of your singing ability and musicianship!

The Magic Flute

For in-person singing auditions, each candidate will begin with the aria of his/her choice. The next selection(s) will be chosen by the Lyric Arts France representative. An accompanist will be provided at each live audition, although candidates are free to bring their own. All live audition slots will be 8-10 minutes.

Repertoire requirements for recorded auditions are the same as live auditions.

Recorded Auditions
Please follow the instructions within YAPTracker to submit recorded auditions.
The deadline to apply is Sunday, February 28, 2027, but we encourage candidates to apply early.
